had a front plate on my Z32. The car has been in state for 2 1/2 years and I've been stopped, if memory serves me, four times for speeding: WSP twice, and Sheriff twice. On 2 of those occasions I received speeding tickets. Only once during those four stops was my lack of front plate mentioned and I was never cited for it. Most of my Z32 mileage is highway. I drive it in town 4 or 5 times a month, don't use it to commute, and only log about 2000 miles a year. Personally I think Washington cops think they have better things to do than to write tickets for not having front plates, but this may vary according to jurisdiction and the cop.
